Congratulations to our 2024 District Literary Rally participants! These scholars were selected by their teachers to participate in this academic competition. We are SO proud that BHS had several students place at the district level and will move on to the state competition!!
The BHS Raider members assisted in the clean-up of Cassidy Park for their upcoming State Raider Competition.
Cadets also ran thru a few obstacles in preparation for the event. They enjoyed pizza for the close out session.
Congratulations to our senior BHS Cheer Team members!! They received their letter jackets in a ceremony attended by loved ones, faculty, and their cheer coach, Mrs. Katasha August-Robinson. Middle school art students are celebrating Black History Month. Mrs. Tania Thompson's talents art students learned about American fiber artist Bisa Butler. They created a patchwork collage of famous African Americans. Her regular art classes have been studying the history and achievements of various African Americans and presenting them to their classmates.

Beta Beta Lambda is the Bogalusa High School Band fraternity. This organization was started on the campus of Bogalusa High School in 2012 by Mr. Chad Harry.
In order to be considered for membership, students must display great musicianship, strong character, and academic achievement. There are a total of 8 new initiates: Tashyra Brock, Myijialon Mark, Chad Williams, Steven Franklin, Devin Adams, Jaylah Bearden, Alfred Moses lll, and Ashton Crater. Let's play ball!! The Lady Jacks play softball tomorrow, Tuesday, February 20, at Avenue B at 5:00. The Lumberjacks play baseball at Mt. Hermon Tuesday and Thursday of this week at 5:00.
We look forward to seeing our scholars tomorrow morning as we return from our break!

BHS was well represented in the the MCCA XLIV Parade!!! The BHS Lumberjack Battalion kicked off the parade followed close behind by our own Big Bad Lumberjack Band and BHS Cheer Team!!🖤💛
📣 Bogalusa High School Track Booster Club📣
Meeting #1 was held Thursday, February 8th at 6:00 pm, inside Bogalusa High School Football Fieldhouse via the Gary C. Magee Track Complex.
Meeting #2 will be held on Thursday, February 15th, at 6:00 pm., in the same location. We ask all former track athletes, parents, coaches, business leaders, teachers, bus drivers, friends, city workers, and well-wishers of BHS track to get involved in something great; let’s try to save some of our youths. We will hand out plans for the ‘24 track season at BHS, including the City and the Parish. We need your advice, input, and support in our endeavor.
Several meetings are scheduled in Bogalusa at BHS Track Stadium on 3/7/24, 3/21/24, and 4/11/24. We will need your help! Finally, I would like to see us organize a Washington Parish Track and Field Youth League. Please feel free to contact me any time; my contact information is below.
