National Food Service Worker Day is celebrated annually on September 25th to honor individuals in the food service industry, though its official origin and founder are not widely known. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the day recognizes the front-line roles that food and beverage workers play in customer service within restaurants, cafeterias, and other food service establishments.
The food service industry is a significant part of the U.S. economy, and the workers are crucial for its smooth operation.
These workers provide essential services, from taking orders, preparing food, serving guests, and maintaining cleanliness.

We are proud to have the BEST of BEST working in the cafeteria at Byrd Ave. Primary School!

Tomorrow will be a $2.00 dress-down day to raise funds for the Washington Parish Free Fair Education building (Blue, Red, & White ribbons) and student incentives here at the school.
Any shirt and bottoms are acceptable as long as they follow the dress code (not too short, no holy jeans, and school-appropriate).

Bus stops are attached, and we do allow for drop-offs! Breakfast is served from 7:30 to 8:00.

Along with our meet-and-greet on Friday, August 1st, at 9:00, we will host a Back-to-School Hour of Prayer at 4:00 p.m. We invite you to come and pray for our school and then walk through our halls, praying over our hallways, classrooms, and students' desks.
