Emelda Clark’s Financial Literacy class recently had the opportunity to experience real-world money management and budgeting through an engaging visit from Renaissance Bank. It was an honor to welcome Branch Manager Tracy Williams and Personal Banker Brianna Baughman as guest speakers.
During their visit, students explored a real-life scenario outlining the process of purchasing a vehicle and everything it entails — from budgeting and credit considerations to loan responsibilities. The session also provided hands-on practice with essential banking skills, including writing checks, balancing a checkbook, and tracking spending.
This experience gave students valuable insight into financial responsibilities and reinforced the importance of budgeting, planning, and smart money management skills that will serve them well far beyond the classroom.
Thank you to Renaissance Bank for investing in our students’ future!
