Big Bad Lumberjack Marching Band Member of the Week Chad Williams is a 7th grade band member. He is the trumpet section leader in the Big Bad Lumberjack Marching Band. Chad attended summer band camp at Southern University this past summer, and he is one of the premiere trumpet players in the band. He is also a member of the band fraternity Beta Beta Lambda. Congratulations to this hard working scholar!

Career Compass works with our BHS students to ensure every one has a pathway to college and a rewarding career. Gathering student data is what sets the wheels in motion, enabling them to help our seniors with exploring opportunities, mapping out their plans for the future, and enpowering them with the tools they need to achieve their ultimate goals after high school. Students in Mrs. Emerlyne Jones's broadcasting class have been busy! They begin each day by delivering our school's morning announcements. During their class, they are currently working on creating a commercial. Each group selected a branded product and were tasked with developing a commercial using at least 5 clips edited together. Kudos to these creative students!📹🎤

We had the honor of being entertained today by the United States Army 101st Airborne Division Band. Big Bad Lumberjack Band members and JROTC Cadets enjoyed the music and question and answer session between songs. Students were able to engage with the band members after the performance. Special thanks to the Army Band as well as to BHS Band Director Mr. Chad Harry and Lieutenant Colonel Harris and First Sergeant Rogers from the Lumberjack Battalion.
