Marley McGowan is the Big Bad Lumberjack Band Student of the Week. Marley is a senior trumpet section leader, varsity member of the Lumberjack Basketball Team, and a member of Beta Beta Lambda Fraternity. Marley plans to attend college and play in the band.

Former Bogalusa High School educator and Army Veteran, Mr. Chris Pigott, and his wife, Lisa, visited the JROTC Leadership and presented them with a donation to support the activities within the program.
Their support brings credit upon them and the Lumberjack Battallion. We thank them for their dedication to our Cadets and their hard work.

BHE Guidance Counselor Mrs. Tanya Moses met with the Class of 2025 to give some words of wisdom to help their senior year flow positively. She gave each a BHS Senior Newsletter and discussed important topics outlined there, such as ACT, diploma tracks, FAFSA, and much more. Our seniors are off to a great start to their last year!!🎓🎓🎓🎓🎓
BHS has implemented APP(Academic Preparatory Period) this school year. This 30-minute period allows for extensive intervention and enrichment. Each day has a set lesson plan to be done with the teacher and their Lumberjack Family. Their first assignment was to create a commercial highlighting ways they will have a Gold Medal Year. The APP class winners for the top commercials were treated to an ice cream party.

Alfred “Tre” Moses lll is the Big Bad Lumberjack Band Member of the Week. Tre serves as Drum Major for the 2024-25 season. He is a sophomore honor student, section leader, and a member of the band fraternity Beta Beta Lambda. He has also attended Southern University and Grambling State University High School Summer Band Camps. Tre is a leader on and off the field. 🖤🎼🎶💛
