The BHS National Honor Society gathered today for their annual holiday party. They enjoyed food, fellowship, and fun! They ate delicious food cooked by the amazing Mrs. Lisa Jackson. They also played a gift "stealing" game with socks. These students are role models on our campus. They maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher. True scholars!

American Legion Post 24 held their Wreaths Across America ceremony today at Ponemah Cemetery. Our Lumberjack Color Guard posted the colors for today's ceremony.
Tyler Williams, Timothy Beaudreaux, Jodie Knight, Ishanteara Varnado, and Azavia Myrick attended showing their commitment and dedication to the JROTC program, BHS, and the community.
Middle School Student Council and NJHS visited the statue capitol. Newly elected Louisiana State Representative John Wyble from Washington Parish took time out of his busy schedule to speak to our middle school scholars about what he does and about their responsibility to register to vote as soon as they turn 18. Students also enjoyed a visit to the mall and the movies! Thank you, scholars, for representing BHS so well on this wonderful trip!
Bogalusa Middle School Student Council and National Junior Honor Society participated in a community outreach program. These students, under the direction of Mrs. Ann Parker and Mrs. Sharon Luter, asked students to bring in care package items for Resthaven Nursing Home. Thursday, students sorted, made cards, and stuffed 90 bags of goodies. Friday morning, our remarkable scholars delivered the bags of love to Resthaven, on their way to a field trip! Thank you, young scholars, for paying it forward at Christmas time! 💕🙏🏻🎉

ADAPT Rape Prevention Education Program donated essential supplies for the BHS Care Closet. These items are available for students in need and consist of personal hygiene supplies, school supplies, and school uniforms. Any local businesses or individuals willing to donate for our students at any of the BCS schools, contact Mrs. Trenise Graves or Mrs. Amy Adams at BHS.
Christmas in Cassidy, 5k Reindeer Run took place today. Our BHS Cadets showed they were in the Christmas spirit by volunteering to run in today's event.
Today, the BHS JROTC Cadets assisted in laying wreaths at Ponemah Cemetery in preparation for Wreaths Across America.
After their hard work, they were provided lunch from the American Legion. Thank you to these Cadets!
Many thanks to these generous community members that donated to our students today! They call themselves Socks: Serving Others in Our Community with Kindness! They collect donations of new socks through the year and bag them with sweet treats and give them at Christmas.
