The BHS JROTC Cadets participated in the "Rebel Rumble" physical challenge held at George County High School. Our Cadets competed against 14 other schools from the state of Mississippi. With the toughest obstacles our Cadets have faced this year, they showcased the Lumberjack spirit with their determination and commitment to excellence. Great job to these outstanding Cadets! Special thanks to George County for hosting a very competitive and challenging event. Next up for these Raiders will be the first annual LSU Raider Challenge at LSU. GEAUX JACKS!!

Kudos to Mrs. Monique Douglas and her students for their focus and diligence during APP. All BHS students attend their APP class each day for 30 minutes. Students work in iReady(grades 6-8) or IXL(grades 9-12) during this time. These intervention programs provide both extra help for students who may struggle in certain areas while also offering more challenging work for our mastery students. 🖤💛

The last 2 weeks, JROTC Cadets were introduced to the NASP (National Archery in the Schools Program). Cadets were provided classroom training on the components of a compound bow and the 11 fundamentals of archery. They were then moved into the JROTC Gym, where they conducted their flights and tallied their overall scores. Our future for BHS JROTC is to next year compete at local and state meets to enhance our abilities to attend the nationals in Kentucky. 🏹🏹🏹
