Another year, another show! The Bogalusa High School Theatre Department is looking for sponsors for their upcoming production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee! Show dates are March 28-30 and April 5-6.
We truly couldn't have made the show last year a success without you, and we are looking forward to this show being bigger and better! When you purchase an ad/sponsorship, you help this program and these students with costumes, props, set pieces, etc.
Please contact Mrs. Emily Cantrelle, ecantrelle@bogschools.org, if you are interested in helping these incredibly talented students! 🎭

Junior students in Mrs. Lenora Pierce's English III classes have begun the novel The Scarlet Letter. After reading chapter one, students were tasked with creating a drawing of how they visualized the events and characters thus far, with focus on the imagery of the prison door. Happy reading, 11th graders!🖤💛

Congratulations to our BHS December Students of the Month!!!!!!! 🖤💛

Mr. Carlos Howard’s 5th period students all earned an A for the 3rd weeks in social studies! He provided sausage biscuits to these 7th graders as a reward for their excellent work! Keep reaching for the stars!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️

Students in Mr. Darren Williams's world geography classes are working on a project titled Cultural Artifact Showcase of Western European Countries. Students are working in cooperative groups to research and create a presentation on a cultural artifact from a specific Western European country. This could include traditional clothing, art, music instruments, etc. The groups will
then present their artifact to the class, explaining its significance, history, and cultural context. Working in cooperative groups enhances student understanding and engagement. This is a strategy being implemented in all of our BHS classrooms. Kudos to Mr. Williams and his geography scholars!! 🌎🖤💛

6th grade students in Mrs. Amy Fleming's math classes used a hands-on approach to gain a better understanding of evaluating expressions with exponents. Students recorded the number of folds in a paper and found the exponential power of those folds. Great job, math scholars!!

Happy King's Day! 🎉
