JCLC has come to a close. Our Cadets of BHS spent a week at Camp Shelby and participated in several training events: canoeing, casualty litter training, leaders' reaction course, map reading, and rappelling. Closing out the day, companies competed in evening games of head to head and team competitions.
We had 3 Cadets earn the Commander Coin: Daymeon Magee, Destinee Penn, and Traelyn Brown.
Daymeon Magee earned the Most Spirited Cadet award.
Delta Company earned the distinction of Honor Company.
Coach Eddie Walker was recognized for his dedication and support to JCLC held in Camp Shelby. Pictured beside him are the Delta Company Cadets.

BHS JROTC:
Day 3 of JCLC evening competition games, Cadet Traelyn Brown was selected by Delta Company and awarded a commander's coin for his excellence.

Every evening at JCLC(Junior Cadet Leaders Camp), cadets are recognized by Army Instructors for a Commander Coin. BHS JROTC Cadets Daymeon Magee and Destinee Penn were selected from Charlie Company on the first night. Great start to JCLC for Bogalusa!

Memorial Day services were held today at Ponemah Cemetery.
JROTC Color Guard cadets posted and retired the Colors for today's services, honoring all services members that paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms.

BHS JROTC Cadets assisted at the Cassidy Park Fun Run. Children and adults of all ages participated in the run getting slimed, competing in sack races, and egg/spoon races.
What a wonderful event for our Cadets!! We are so thankful for their willingness to serve our community!

The Lumberjack Battallion conducted their organizational day on Monday. Cadets are assigned into companies at the beginning of school, and at the end of the year, they compete for Honor Company.
Events included are: dizzy izzy, 3-legged race, car wash relay, litter carry, weeble wobble, mountains and valleys, and knockout drill.
This year best spirit company and Honor Company was Alpha Company, commanded by Semiyah Warren and Traelyn Brown.
Great work from all the Cadets that took part in this great competition!!
